I had the most pleasant time adopting at this shelter, more-so than others. I am from Dallas and made the two hour drive, and let me tell you IT WAS WORTH IT. You felt it as soon as you stepped in that these people care deeply about thier animals, they were 100% transparent and I felt like I knee the dog I was adopting very well. I love with the experience and the dog! Can't wait to spoil him, like he deserves!
Pets Fur People is amazing!!! The staff is so friendly and helpful through the whole process. I would recommend them over and over again. Adopting through them was very easy, they will make sure you find the best animal that fits your family. Pets Fur People will always hold a special spot in my heart!
This one of the cleanest, organized and knowledgeable shelters I have been to. We love our new members.
We've adopted our recent fur children from here. We went here after a terrible experience with the Tyler version of the SPCA! The people working here are truly doing an amazing job. Those that write negative reviews apparently have a stick up their butt! I still have all 3 animals we brought home: Caine (formerly Jaxx) Annie-Belle (formerly Ann) and Freya the cat! There was no run around, we showed up to look at a new member of the family since we lost my red nose and our blue (even though she is and always been spoiled) she missed having a friend to run and play with. When we were waiting to go see Ann my husband noticed and little black and silver kitten and he fell in love (he is the cat person and I'm the dog). I asked what the little cats name was and once they told me and I saw how much my family already loved her ( try to tell to 4 year olds and a 5 year old no lol) I told Terry well looks like I'm buying a kitten and a puppy. Pulled her info and got her ready while we went to go see Ann and kids feel in love so I told the man that took us back to see her wrap her up. Brought my blue girl so they can see how she was and brought Annie home that evening! Fast forward to January and I saw the had a Bull Terrier (spud makenzie) and I showed my husband, and to my surprise he said go get him. Called Terry the next morning and told him I'm on my way. Brought my kids up and they loved how bouncy he was, and then signed and played and brought him home. This is the only no kill shelter! Tyler animal control and the "tyler pound" is the joke. Pets fur People will be the only place I would ever get a dog or cat from
Adopt, Don't shop!
There is just so many wonderful pets waiting for their forever homes!
This animal shelter is well looked after by their staff!
The pens are adequately spaced out with indoor/outdoor access and kept clean routinely! There is play areas! There's a good variety of dogs of varies sizes and breeds to choice from. I'm sure the cats are just as good, yet we didn't visit them at the cattery. For those that are ready, willing and able to bring home a furry friend... I think this is a great place to start!
My family and I had the opportunity to adopt sweet Kobe from Pets Fur People today and it was an absolutely incredible experience. As soon as you step on the grounds, you immediately know that every sweet animal is cared for and loved immensely. The kennel tech that oriented us to Kobe was incredible and knew so much about Kobe, even though he had only been there for two weeks. The process was thorough but simple and we were given so many things before we left (bed, food, "swag bag"). Our little girl is in love with the new addition to our family and we are now big fans of Pets Fur People!
This place is the place to go to when you are looking to adpoted a new animal companion. The staff is extremely nice and they take amazing care of the animals. You can tell the staff really cares for the animals in their care. My family has adopted a dog and cat from Pets Fur People.
We want to refer to anyone looking for a dog to adopt that we had a wonderful experience with Pets Fur People! Not only did they help in selecting a great little guy to go with our family, but they were also so very generous in making certain he was in good health, had been dewormed, shots and we bring him back for his neutering soon! He has just fit right into our home, and we have another little girl we had adopted and she is a hoot! The two of them keep us on our toes and smiles on our faces too. The team at Pets Fur People went above and beyond to help us and to make certain that the puppy fit the home too. I would always suggest rescuing if able before spending hundreds at puppy mills. We are so happy that "Bradley Cooper" is happy!
